Last summer when I was in DC studying at the Holocaust museum, I created a blog and found that it not only helped me organize what I was learning at the time, but was a wonderful resource to look back on.  SO, I thought I would try it again this summer with my trip to Philly to study at Gratz College...... Leaving in the morning for Portland, spending the night and flying out early Sunday morning.  Looking forward to my class, Teaching the Holocaust, but nervous at the same time.  Hard to leave home, family, pets, responsibilities... Hoping to have a similar experience to last summer in DC.  I am mostly looking to come away this week with a sense of clear direction for my new class.  There is SO much I want to teach/share with my students that I need to focus on how to get it all to them in a way that they are not overwhelmed and can see the big picture.  Will write again tomorrow.
